The Sonic Alert SBT 600 SS is a vibrating alarm clock designed for the hearing-impaired or deaf and comes in two parts. Firstly, there's the alarm clock itself, and secondly, there's the vibration disc (also described as a bed shaker) that you can connect to the back of the clock with a plug. This vibration disc vibrates powerfully when the alarm goes off. Super convenient is the USB connection, allowing you to charge a phone, MP3 player, or other devices.
It's a relatively small vibrating clock, approximately 15 cm long. The vibration disc is about 10 cm in diameter and shaped like a small rugby ball. You place it under your pillow or in bed. The clock has an impressive sound level of 100db, and the alarm signal can also be adjusted in pitch. You can choose to wake up with vibration only, sound and vibration, or sound only. Additionally, the clock can be snoozed with adjustable snooze times.
You can insert a 9-volt battery into the back of the clock. During a power outage, the clock will still function, but the display remains black. Once the power is restored, the clock will resume displaying the correct time. (Battery not included)
